Cases like Republican Rob Portman coming out for gay marriage only AFTER finding out his son is gay is the perfect example of the Conservative mindset and their inability to show empathy for anything that isn’t directly happening to them..

In this extremely contentious election cycle, President Obama and Mitt Romney spent a majority of their time and money in a handful of battleground states. It’s always amusing when people take a stand as if they have the absolute truth in regards to religion.  In this case Evangelical Christians seem to have found a new “M” word to hate, and this time it’s not Muslims, It’s Mormons!

Now this is not a new conflict, but it has recently been thrusted  into the limelight by Politics. within the last 8 years, 3 high profile Mormons have sought the presidency in the United States.  Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and John Huntsman.  None have been successful yet, but currently the Republican Front-runner for their 2012 Presidential nomination is Mitt Romney.

But the vast majority of Republicans are finding it very difficult to support a Mormon candidiate, hence the calvacade of front-runners who are “NOT” Romney.  One of the most outspoken people on this subject has been Dr. Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas……..

The Republican Party is good at one thing…. Protecting the 1%.  They cry class warfare when anyone challenges that sector of American‘s, but in reality Class Warfare is a war that the 99% didn’t start.  Many of us were oblivious to the fact  that there was even a war to begin with, but as we look back in history, we can clearly see the evidence of this growing conflict.  Once again, the 1% has chosen a new champion, in this 2012 Round-Robin presidential campaign, this time it’s Newt Gingrich, a lifelong politician, who has answered their call. Newt Gingrich is firmly in the 1%, and as a member of that club, he quickly rises to their defense.

People in Great Britain as well as around the world, are watching the US Presidential race play out, but are disheartened and dismayed by the GOP field of candidates.
